Sports Connect Parent Guide
Welcome to our new registration system, Sports Connect! We hope you are as excited as we are about the transition to this new system which comes highly recommended by many other sports organizations. Below are some guidelines to help each group navigate this new system.
All parents must create a NEW account. Even if you have played with us in the past, our new system is not connected to our old database, so all accounts must be created again. Please login and create an account. First for you as the adult, and then it will have you create the profiles for your child(ren). This new site even supports Google Translate (see the icon in the header) if you need to swap from English to another language.
To login to the site, you will need a new account in this new registration system. You can start that process easily using the REGISTER button in the banner above. You will need to enter all of the usual information appropriate for a new account. For help on registering, click this link to the Sports Connect Parent Registration FAQs.
After you have a working account on this site, you can LOGIN using the button in the banner and switch to your account (if you aren't there already) with the "MY ACCOUNT" button. You can manage your existing info on that page and choose to Volunteer or find the link to your child's team page if they have been assigned to a team.
Under each player listed in the account, you'll see a blue bar for any program in which they have been registered. The first section of the blue bar will show the program in which they are registered. The second section will show the grade grouping. And after they have been assigned to a team, you'll see that in the third section of the blue bar. If you are on a mobile device, the UI may not have the "blue bar", but the info will still be there with a listing of program, grade, and team (if applicable).
If you add a player in the future, you can do so using the very subtle "..." button on the main My Account page to the right of the word "Participants".
You may also want to add a spouse/partner/caregiver to your account, so they get updates about the players too. To add an Additional User account to an existing Primary account, use the gear icon on the My Account page and scroll to the bottom to find the plus sign for adding an Additional Account Holder. Enter the adult information there and that e-mail address will receive an invitation. That adult should then click on the e-mailed invitation to accept the account and then they will be able to log in to Sports Connect too.
If you have been contacted to volunteer or wish to volunteer for a coaching role or team parent role, you can do so from the My Account view. Use the Volunteer link in the left navigation bar and then click on Find Volunteer Roles. You can add a volunteer role for yourself or for a secondary user or the secondary user can volunteer themselves.
Our new Sports Connect portal gives us a view of everything that is happening that we in HTB have set up and organized; however, it does not include the content that is set up and organized by the girls'/boys' leagues. This means that the most up to date game info, including league schedules and standings can be found on each league's website respectively.
